  • The Italian Academy at Columbia University has presented a round table discussion, co-sponsored, with the European Institute, the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, and the Center for American Studies in Rome, by the name Food Security, Globalization and Sustainability focusing on the legacy of Expo Milano 2015. Among the participants, Maurizio Martina, Italian Minister of Agricultural, Food, and Forestry Policies.
  • 8.5 million people have already bought their tickets for the Expo Milano 2015 collaboration with big name Italian fashion designers, the theme of which is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. Giorgio Armani is scheduled to open the Expo as special ambassador on April 30th with his Privé Haute Couture line fashion show.
  • An Italian Breakfast 'to Save' Madre Cabrini An Italian breakfast for Madre Cabrini with the reading of a passage from "I promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed), author Alessandro Manzoni, performed by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory. Purpose of the gathering was the announcement of a fundraising, organized by the International Patrons of Duomo di Milano, to support the Duomo's historical and cultural heritage. A crowdfunding with the aim of restoring the spire dedicated to Saint Frances Cabrini and with the intent of preserving the Cathedral for generations to come.
  • The Italian National Tourist Board organized “The Importance of The Grand Tour of Italy for College Students,” which took place at the Italian Academy of the Columbia University.
  • Discover Expo Milano 2015
    The universal non-commercial exposition "Expo Milano 2015" will be hosted by Milan, Italy, between May and October 31, next year. "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" is the theme chosen for this edition. A topic that merges in a global scenario innovation, culture, technology, traditions and creativity, and their relationship to food and diet.   • On July 12 the Commissioner for Culture of the City of Milan, Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, presented a one-day festival dedicated to the excellencies of Milan in the cultural, artistic, and culinary fields. During the first part of the event, hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute, a selected audience was invited to explore and discover the philosophical relationship between food and design. In the evening, the Lincoln Center hosted a lecture of Alessandro Manzoni’s "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed) given by Mr. Flory himself
