On June 30, the Gala organized by the cultural association I Love Italian Food, hosted by Scavolini Soho Gallery, was dedicated to all those realities which distinguished themselves for promoting only authentic Italian cuisine in New York. The special guests were awarded according to six main categories: Espresso, Gelato, Menu, Pizza, Chef and Restaurant.

The organization Dress in Dreams Movie & Costume brought an exciting celebration dedicated to the art of pizza making blended with the art of cinema to some of the finest, authentic Neapolitan pizzerias in the city, such as Ribalta Pizzeria and Song’e Napule. These events were made possible with the support of MiBACT - Direzione Cinema and in collaboration with AVPN - Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.

A big success for the event that celebrates the art of Neapolitan pizza making through the lens of cinema and beyond. A full house at Casa Italiana for the NY premiere of the film "Arrangiarsi: Pizza… and the Art of Living" by Matteo Troncone, followed by a panel on the art of pizza making and a tasting of the delicious fried pizza.

"Tu Vuò fà il Napoletano – Facce da Pizza", lands in New York City to celebrate the art of neapolitan pizzaiuoli as UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Organized by Dress in Dreams Movie & Costume, under the auspices and with the support of MiBACT - Direzione Cinema, the three days event, April 16th-17th-19th, will take place at Ribalta Pizzeria, NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò and Song’e Napule Pizzeria.

L’Executive Chef del ristorante Ribalta a New York, Pasquale Cozzolino, riscopre l’antica tradizione mediterranea mettendo al centro della sua dieta il suo piatto preferito: la pizza, rigorosamente napoletana, che se cucinata ad arte è leggera, nutriente e dietetica. Nel suo libro “The Pizza Diet - How I Lost 100 Pounds and You Can Too!”, il pizzaiolo napoletano si racconta e offre la sua dieta con ricette e consigli sul come si deve mangiare per restare in forma.

Two months of intense organizational efforts from i-Italy between Naples and New York, a great collaboration with the Consulate General and the other institutions of Sistema Italia, enthusiastic and generous support from all sectors of the community. These ingredients made for the success of the mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris’ trip to New York. Street encounters in the Little Italies of Manhattan and the Bronx, conferences in the two major university institutes, meetings with entrepreneurs and tourism agencies – and a great human connection with mayor Bill de Blasio. At the center of it all, an atypical and unexpected Naples, the emblem of an inclusive city, which volunteers alongside New York to jumpstart an international movement towards the globalization of the rights to citizenship – a globalization of humans, not just of capital and merchandize.
