    Italy is THE great protagonist of this year’s Summer show! 350 exhibitors and almost 30,000 square feet of display area at the Javits Center in New York City, host of the largest and most important food and beverage show in North America and one from the top five such events around the world, that opens on June 29 and closes on July 1.
  • Jointly organized by the Italian Wine & Food Institute and the Italian Trade Commission, Wonderful Italian Wines for Summertime was a special wine and food tasting event exhibiting the best summer wines, especially Spumanti,Rosé, Prosecco and Moscato, and food specialties from Italy prepared by Serafina, Le Cirque and SD26 restaurants.
  • How to turn Academic Research into Business. The Italian Trade Commission has organized an international training seminar in Boston, the technological research capital of the US, with the goal to provide concrete tools and examples to support entrepreneurial efforts to commercialize university research by creating a start-up company.
  • Italy participates for the third time in a row to the Wine and Food & Fall Ferrari Festival in Saratoga Springs. The Italian Trade Commission, main partner at the event, organized a series of presentations to promote authentic Italian food products and high quality wines, healthy eating for families and the excellence of the Italian lifestyle!
  • Celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich headlines the sixth edition of the most sophisticated wine and food extravaganza on the East Coast to be held in September. The program was presented at the Italian Trade Commission that will contribute with a special tasting seminar.
  • Some of Italy's finest shoemakers and craftsmen attended a special Italian showcase at the summer FFANY (Fashion Footwear Association of New York) trade show. “Italian attention to quality and detail is a rarity in the global economy,” Diego Rossetti, US vice president of ANCI (The Italian Footwear Manufacturers' Association) said, “the brand variety presented here fulfills the needs of the American footwear market.”

  • The Summer Fancy Food Show ended with a lively discussion on the future of Italian cuisine in America and on how authentic Italian food ingredients and wines fit with the modern concept of fusion, which blends high-quality components with other cuisines of the world.
