The Festival is held every year at the Ariston Theatre

Povia owes much of his popularity to Paolo Bonolis who invited him to perform out of the official competition during the 55th edition of the Festival. His song "Quando i bambini fanno oh" (Children's wonder) became a great hit in Italy at that time. This year he will sing "Luca era gay (Luca was gay)
